What is a Doula

There are different types of doula, but the main types are Labour & Birth Doulas and Postpartum Doulas. Labour and Birth Doulas offers support throughout pregnancy and during labour while Postpartum Doulas mainly offer support after the birth.

Why would I need a Postpartum Doula?

Life after bringing home a newborn baby home can sometimes be overwhelming and having  a trained doula can be handy in your recovery period. With evidence based information, a Doula can support your unique styl of parenting and offer resources to help you be confident in your new role.

Can I still have a Doula if I have support at home?

Absolutely! A postpartum Doula's role is to support and encourage family support, by providing a calm presence and allowing everyone to participate at their own comfort levels.

Do you offer any other services?

I currently also offer child minding services and newborn care education.
